To that end, we have hired Jenna Pavlik as our Substance Use Program Supervisor.  Jenna will be responsible for managing the staff providing substance use treatment services, serving as liaison to our community partners for coordinating services, and facilitating the development of additional service offerings to meet the needs of those seeking substance-use-related interventions.

With Jenna on board, we now also have the organizational capacity to immediately hire three additional counselors to meet the present demand and to grow our adult service line, anticipated to generate enough revenue that will pay for these positions as-well-as the donor sponsored Supervisor position after the first year.

For many community partners and persons seeking substance use related services, OMNI is the preferred provider.  Over the past 40 years, OMNI distinguished itself in the substance use field by being first in class in terms of successful outcomes (86%+ compared to a state-wide average of 33%), and the OMNI substance use model became ‘the’ model for adolescent services state-wide.  Additionally, due to our ability to provide services in Spanish language, and our acceptance of Medicaid reimbursement, along with commercial insurance, for many OMNI is the most accessible provider in our community.

OMNI’s success in achieving superior outcomes through our substance use prevention and treatment services has resulted from our ability to establish community partnerships, our belief that ‘one-size not fit all’ service models often fail some service recipients, our ability to engage service recipients other organizations struggled with engaging, our utilization of research-based evidence-based practices, our ability to simultaneously address the challenges presented by substance use, as-well-as other issues that may be present, such as family functioning/conflict, attendant mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, etc., social isolation, employment/education, and offering practical, community-driven public health strategies to empower people who use substances to live healthier, self-directed lives.

This expansion also includes peer mentoring and sober social activities, which allow individuals to foster social connectedness and reduces the likelihood of relapse. For families and parents, OMNI will also offer support programs to help guide families in setting healthy boundaries and improving communication. For our communities, OMNI will offer Narcan training sessions and organize distribution events to help equip the community with life-saving knowledge and resources.

Thank You for Making This Possible

Because of our donors, we’re building a brighter future for those battling substance use and for the entire community. Together, we’re changing lives and creating hope.

Substance Use Program Expansion:
Making a brighter future possible for all

Jan. 1, 2025: Thanks to the generosity of our donors, OMNI is increasing our ability to meet the increased demand in our communities for critically needed substance use services for adolescents (12 – 18 years) and adults.

The demand for OMNI substance use treatment services has increased: the number of OMNI clients with substance use as the primary diagnosis increased by 64% from 2023-2024; schools are indicating a dramatic need for substance use related services for students with currently contracted to provide substance use related services in 13 community locations including all District 214 high schools; and, OMNI has a current capacity to schedule about 450 counseling sessions per week, but we still have a waiting list for those seeking services, many of which are people seeking substance use related challenges.

The key element in the expansion initiative that was sponsored by our donors was the enhancement of organizational capacity through the establishment of an additional key leadership role that would facilitate the growth opportunity that is present.
