Eduardo Alvarado, LSW, is passionate about helping individuals and families build healthier, more fulfilling lives. As a Bilingual Counselor at OMNI, he provides compassionate support and guidance to those navigating life’s challenges.
Eduardo earned his Master’s degree in School Social Work from Northeastern Illinois University, focusing on children, youth, and family practice. He was drawn to OMNI because of its deep commitment to the community and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. He believes in creating a safe and inclusive space where clients feel supported in achieving their personal goals and developing healthy coping strategies.
Outside of work, Eduardo enjoys traveling to tropical destinations with his wife and son, watching sports, and playing volleyball. Fun fact—he was a lifeguard for over 10 years, completed the "Hustle Chicago Stair Climb," and conquered all 1,632 steps of the John Hancock Center!

Since 1972 OMNI has been a leader in providing life-changing and life-saving counseling, case management and community-wide prevention services to youth, adults, and families. OMNI helps individuals overcome challenges, develop strengths and build skills they can use for a lifetime. We address both social determinants of health as well as provide critical mental health counseling and supportive case management services. OMNI provides Individual, Family and Group Counseling for children, adolescents and adults, 24 hour crisis Intervention, substance abuse prevention and treatment, child abuse prevention and intervention, juvenile justice services, youth leadership and healthy choice advocacy and family resource support.
Common issues OMNI battles with our clients include: depression/anxiety, peer and relationship issues, family conflicts/divorce, trauma past and ongoing (domestic violence, child abuse and sexual assault), academic problems, criminal activity, substance abuse, school refusal and much more. OMNI creates positive change today for a better tomorrow.
