Alexis Ayala Ortega earned a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology from the University of Illinois Chicago. His journey with OMNI began as an undergraduate intern with the Prevention Team, where he developed a passion for supporting others. Now, as an MHJJ Client Engagement Counselor, he is dedicated to making a positive impact on the individuals and families he serves.
Alexis is an active and adventurous person who thrives on movement and new experiences. A lifelong soccer player and fitness enthusiast, he enjoys spending time at the gym, staying active, and embracing spontaneity. His adventurous spirit has led him to skydive—twice—and, in a surprising feat of endurance, he mistakenly ran two half marathons in less than two weeks. Adding to his list of unique talents, he can also execute a front handspring.
Whether he's with family, on the field, or taking on unexpected challenges, Alexis brings energy, resilience, and a commitment to growth—both personally and professionally—to everything he does.

Common issues OMNI battles with our clients include: depression/anxiety, peer and relationship issues, family conflicts/divorce, trauma past and ongoing (domestic violence, child abuse and sexual assault), academic problems, criminal activity, substance abuse, school refusal and much more. OMNI creates positive change today for a better tomorrow.
